Jacuzzi® J-400™ Collection Registration and Start-Up

Congratulations on your purchase of a Jacuzzi® J-400™ Collection spa! You are now ready to enjoy the ultimate in hydrotherapy and relaxation in your own backyard.

But before you can jump in, you must register your hot tub and complete the start-up process. To make it easy for you, we've put together this guide to help you through the registration and start-up process.

What is the Jacuzzi® Keypad and how does it work?

The Jacuzzi® control panel commonly referred to as the "Jacuzzi® keypad", is connected to the spa's controller by a cable that passes through the cabinet beneath the spa itself.

The controller (sometimes called spa pack) is the central "brain" that connects to and runs all of the plumbing equipment in your spa or swim spa.

This keypad includes different buttons that allow users to control the temperature, jets, lighting, circulation pumps, filtration systems and other spa features.

The Jacuzzi® keypad can also alert you to different error messages or alerts that may require you to take action to resolve, making your spa experience even more manageable and enjoyable.

These keypads have different versions and functions:

  • The Jacuzzi® J-400™ Collection use ProTouch™ Control Panel
  • The Jacuzzi® 300 and 200 Collection use the standard control panel

Before performing the operating instructions below, please check the tech sheet to determine which control panel your spa uses – ProTouch™ or Standard.

How to start up a Jacuzzi® J-400™ Collection keypad

In order for you to start navigating the Jacuzzi® keypad, your spa needs to go through the start-up process once the power is applied to the spa.

During the start-up sequence, the welcome screen will appear. Then a blow-out cycle (an automated cycle that purges the air from the plumbing lines typically caused by draining and filling the spa) will begin, after the cycle ends, the hot tub will display the Home Menu.

Please note: The start-up menu will time out after approximately 3 seconds and exterior lights flash on and off to indicate a connection.
