What is Jacuzzi^® SmartTub™?

SmartTub™ is an optional upgrade that allows you to fully and remotely control your spa from your device. The system comprises hardware that uses cellular transmission for easier connection and a more dependable signal than WiFi and a downloadable app. This makes controlling your spa easy and convenient. If you are in the living room of your house or in another country, as long as you have a cellular connection, you can access the control settings on your Jacuzzi^®.

When the SmartTub™ hardware and app are connected, you will be able to:

• Adjust the temperature of the spa water
• Control spa jets and lighting
• Control and monitor energy output (when and how often you run the heating and filtration cycle)
• Access to information, tips, and videos to enable you to become an expert at operating your spa
• Receive notifications about power outages, issues and how to resolve them, as well as energy estimates
• Contact your spa dealer whether you are home or overseas

How to connect the SmartTub™ app to your spa

Follow the steps below to set up and pair SmartTub™ on your device.

Step 1: Download the app

Download the SmartTub™ App from the Google Play™ store or Apple™ App store.

Step 2: Create your account

Open the app and create an account.

• Tap “Sign-up”
• Supply the needed information, including your email address and first and last name, and create a password.
• Read the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, and tap the checkboxes.
• An email will be sent to you to complete the signup process. Go to your email address to validate your account.
• Tap “I have verified my email” on the app.

Step 3: Pair SmartTub™ with your spa

The next step is pairing your hot tub with the SmartTub™ app. Start by locating the SmartTub™ sticker next to the hot tub's control panel.

You can either scan the QR code with the SmartTub™ app or manually input the serial number located below the QR code on the sticker.

After you pair the hot tub’s serial number to the SmartTub™ app, the app will load and connect the hot tub to the internet.

Step 4: Activate your warranty

The next step allows you to activate your spa warranty.

• Supply the needed information, including your first and last name, address and email address.
• Tap “Done”

Please note: This is not required for users outside North America. You can tap “Skip for aftermarket installations” to proceed to the next screen.

Step 5: Enable notifications

Once the pairing process completes, you may enable app notifications.

Step 6: Sit back and relax!

Begin enjoying the benefits of your internet-connected hot tub.

What features can I access through the Home Menu button?

The Home Menu on the Jacuzzi^® SmartTub™ app provides easy access to water temperature, jet pump controls, and lighting settings. Here’s how:

Adjusting Water Temperature

• Step 1. Upon entering the Home Menu, locate the slider along with the Plus (+) and Minus (-) Buttons.
• Step 2.
• To increase the temperature: Use the Plus (+) Button or drag the slider to the right.
• To decrease the temperature: Use the Minus (-) Button or drag the slider to the left.

Accessing the Jet Pump Menu

• Step 1. Tap the Jet Button on the Home Menu.
• Step 2. In the Jet Pump Menu: Toggle the jet pumps on or off by tapping the respective Toggle Buttons.

Note: This menu is automatically configured based on the equipment your hot tub features.

Accessing the Light Menu

• Step 1. Tap the Light Button on the Home Menu.
• Step 2. In the Light Menu:
• Tap the desired Color Swatch to change the colour of the lights.
• Adjust the Brightness by tapping the Brightness Toggle and using the slider as desired.
• If your hot tub features multi-zone control, select the zone at the bottom of the menu for both colour and brightness adjustment.

To return to the Home Menu, close the submenu.

What features can I access through the Monitor Menu button?

Below are the features the Monitor Menu Button gives you, including instructions on how to access and use them:

Adjusting the Filter/Circulation Pump

Start Time

• Tap the displayed start time.
• Adjust the start time to your preference.

Duration

• Tap the displayed duration.
• Adjust the duration as desired.

Supplemental Filtration

Activates Jet Pump 1 for additional high-speed filtration in short intervals.

Modes

• Away or Holiday: Off
• Frequent or Heavy: 20 minutes every day.
• Infrequent or Light: 20 minutes every other day.

Heat Modes

• Auto: Heats on demand.
• Economy: Heats during off-peak evening hours.
• Day: Heats during daytime hours only.

Close the Monitor Menu to return to the Home Menu.

What features can I access through the Manage Menu?

The Manage menu allows you to access and manage the below features.

Temperature Lock

• Move the toggle to the right position to enable.
• A prompt will ask you to enter an unlock code (remember this code for future adjustments).

Spa Lock

• Move the toggle to the right position to enable.
• A prompt will ask you to enter an unlock code (remember this code for future adjustments).

Additional Functions

• Signal Strength: View the signal strength of the connection.
• Pending Notifications: View any pending notifications.
• Change Unit of Measure: Adjust the unit of measure.
• Spa Care Menu: Explore the library of hot tub-related content.

How much does Jacuzzi^® SmartTub^® cost?

SmartTub™ is a separate add-on to Jacuzzi^® portable spas at a cost of $1290 and can be fitted to the spa at any time.

The SmartTub™ hardware module is installed in the spa cabinet and the downloadable app is free for the first year of use.

Is SmartTub™ available for all Jacuzzi^® spas?

SmartTub™ is designed for Jacuzzi^® portable spas. SmartTub™ is not compatible with Jacuzzi^® swim spas.
